Classes
 We are happy to share the joy of sewing, quilting, and embroidering with you. We offer free owners classes on your new machine to help you get the most out of your machine. Call the store at 620-441-0939 to schedule your owners’ classes. Please check the supply list for items to bring to each class. Owners Class Supply List

We also offer quilting, sewing, embroidery, and software classes that help you go beyond the basics. So that we may be prepared, please pre-register for classes.  You  may pre-register online, call, or stop by the store.

Classes offered in Arkansas City will have an AC before the class date.  Classes offered in Wichita will have an ICT prefix.

This fun, springy pillow uses the Circular Attachment to create the piped petals and features a quilting design from the Husqvarna Viking Most Popular Quilting Designs embroidery collection #240.

Learn how easy it is to make circles using the Circular Attachment and various other feet to make a cute quilt. A different block will be made each month. You must own a Viking of Pfaff machine and purchase the Viking or Pfaff Circular Attachment to participate in this series of classes. Other feet used in the class are optional. Those who made the 2017 Foot of the Month Quilt will already own some of these feet.

This class is for kids aged 8-12 who would like to learn to sew and/or quilt. Kids use our classroom machines, and learn at their own pace. Classes meet weekly on Mondays OR Thursdays.

This class is for anyone aged 13 and up who would like to learn to sew. You will learn to use our Jade 20 sewing machine in class. You will learn to make a pillow, quilted table runner, and learn to read and purchase the correct size of clothing pattern. You will learn about types of fabrics and how to select the right fabric for your pattern. Class meets weekly and in the beginning includes some supplies. After the first pillow project, you will purchase your own patterns (with our guidance), fabrics, thread, and other supplies as needed.
